I believe that crystals have the power equal to the value our own mind and beliefs assign to them. If I assign to my amulet, through empowering by visualization, the power to draw a specific person to me, will this operate in the same way as a love spell and manipulate the others will? Or, will this crystal unconsciously make me act in ways that will then draw the love of the other to me? Am I controling the others will with this method?

You are correct in the power of crystals. And as for true love, do not attempt to manipulate a specific person. That is crushing their will and right of free choice, and will come back to haunt you three-fold. Don't "act", be who you are.
If you choose to do so, how can you ever be sure that person really loves you and not you making them love you? You will be pchycically drained trying to maintain the relationship, not to mention emotionally, mentally and physically. That is not good and disharmony and confusion will result (and possibly worse).
If you are trying to attract love to you, Then allowing you and them to decide together, with no manipulation on any ones part, that you are good for one another, is acceptable.
You make yourself open to the possiblities and when both of you "click" that is when you know it has worked. Moonstone is good for attracting a new love, rhodochrosite promotes a balanced love, rose quartz attracts love, chrysocolla balances emotions and attracts love.
Do as ye will - an harm none.

Yes and no. The crystal can be used as an amulet to manipulate energy around and towards you, but it will not make you act unconsciously in any sort of way. You are not controlling someone's will, rather, you are using the law of attraction to draw a certain type of energy to you. This is totally conscious on your part. As for your intended recipient(s), some people are more easily drawn in than are others.

No love spell will ever get someone else to act a certain way unless it is how they already feel inside and are not acting on right now.
You can empower your crystal with the intention that you be more open to love and that you are open to attract the person who is of your highest and greatest good for a true love relationship. The crystal will help you to be more open, loving and able to care about others, which will attract someone who is open, loving and caring.
No true love relationship is EVER based on MANIPULATION OR making them do something against their will. THAT IS WRONG!

A love spelled amulet is fine, using it to attract a specific person would be manipulating another person's will. And all witches know that manipulating another person's will is a big no-no.

There is no proof for crystals having any such power. True love wouldn't be true love if it just cost the price of a crystal.
If you were able to use crystals to manipulate somebody's will, that wouldn't be true love...

A little bit, yeah. I wouldn't if I were you. Using magic to control free will = VERY BAD!!!
And by the way, I'd really appreciate it if some of the people here would stop trying to nicely tell others that they're going to hell for practicing magic. Not everyone here is an 18th-century Christian.

nope. i thnk its all in the power of the mind . You control who you attract. just like batterd women or people with low self esteem attract abusers and contrl freaks. This operates as one self relfection and absolutely not a control method unless your seeking out individuals that want to controlled. Are you feeling okay?

Casting a spell will not create true love. True love comes naturally. It is spiritual, not mystical. It shouldn't be a product of midnight incantations, eyes of newt, bat wings, and boiling cauldrons. True love should be taken more seriously than that. When you find it, you will know it. P.S. if you still haven't found the love of your life in a couple of weeks....write a sexually-explicit letter to an inmate...that always works.
