What are your thought's on the Ouija board?

It's amazing, to very weak minded people. I HAVE NO USE FOR IT. DO YOU? Also are the weak minded are those people who believe that it might work or wish it would work..

You will see a lot of people will say it does not work, or it's the work of the devil, rubbish on both counts.
First let me say, unless you really know what you are doing do NOT touch one, they do work, but only with sincere people if one person deciders to be stupid then they can spoil the whole thing, and this can lead to very disturbing results, even if nothing comes through.
What bad things can happen, well often a spirit which has been bad here on earth, can still show those thoughts via spirit and if you are not in control of the board they can do some frightening things that could affect your mind, by this i mean it could scare you, give you bad dreams, make you a very nervous person, even if you don't believe and have only joined in for the fun of it, which you shouldn't do, to many people play with these, and it's not something to be played with, and to people comment on something they don't understand, having said that you can get some very interesting results from the board, and just to add no one, and i mean no one can prove they don't work.

The Ouija seems to react to the beliefs of those who use it than anything else. You will see answers here that warn you not to use it, that it is 'demonic' and so on. What these are likely reflecting is personal experience, direct or indirect, and by extension the nature of the individual at the time of the experience.

I have a friend whose children and grandchildren play with the Ouija boards (plural) he has. He portrays them as the toys they are, so their mindset is adjusted correctly. They never even consider the possibility of external influences. He just explains the Ouija works on ideomotor response, the imbalance of force in physics, and that's it.

Other people don't understand this and so seek a more metaphysical answer to the behavior. That doesn't mean that the Ouija cannot be used to manifest phenomena. But it is not de facto dangerous. It's all how you approach it.

True story. When I was 16, my friends and I experimented with a Ouija board for a time. It was fun for a while, but it became less fun when we encountered a spirit that shocked us(through the little plastic thing, no less). It literally felt like if you stuck a paper clip into an electric socket and it happened to five of us who all felt the same thing.

On another occassion, a spirit caused the plastic piece to fly across the room, nearly hitting my friend in the head. The piece flew so fast it left a dent in the wall.

Could you imagine sleeping in a house where you summoned these kinds of spirits through a Ouija board? All I can say is, be careful.

Addendum: I just remembered how freaked out I was about the experience and talking about it to my Dad. He did not dispute that what had happened to us had actually occurred, he just said that kind of stuff is all generated out of your mind subconsciously.

At any rate, its still kind of freaky, and I don't know of any science that can really explain what happened.

Pretty crap toy really.

you all put your finger on a pointer on a board full of letters and numbers and one or more people move it around in an attempt to scare the crap out of the least intelligent members.

some short term fun can be gained in scaring the gullible, but it gets boring after a while.

If you're buying a toy board game I'd recommend Monopoly or scrabble before a ouija board...by the way ouija boards are manufactured by the same toy manufacturer as Monopoly.

The oijia board is the creepiest of all novelty toys if your immagination is strong enough to believe in its "power". I used it once with my friend when we were no older than 9. It was fun at first cause when you use it, it feels like it is actually moving on its own. But my friend confessed that he was moving it.

To the religous. The Oijia board is sacreligious and evil. I have a roomate who go to church every sunday and he is terrified of it! I personally only see the novelty of the game.

For a novelty toy it is very controversial. I personally don't see the harm in it, but some scarred and superstitous people let it get to them too easily.

My thoughts? Why would anyone make a toy on the concept of "contacting the dead" or "spirits" anyway? Just seems like a weird Idea to begin with whether it would work or not considering it was targeted toward kids!

I have played with one, however the people I was with were to immature to even give say that it works or not.. though I doubt it works anyway .

I am in love with my Ouija Board. I use it so much and I have contacted spirits on it. But I don't think that you should mess around with it, you need to be careful.

They can be very dangerous. But if you really want to use it you should protect yourself and your environment. Also don't hurt to bless the board too. Just think about what you are doing before you do it. It could very well land you where you don't want to go.

EVIL! Don't do it.. and don't be sceptical. They are REAL and can act as a portal for an evil spirit to enter your house. I did it once when i was 12 and very weird things happened in my house for the following year. Our cat went beserk, loud crashes and bangs at night, and things moving around the house unexplainably. You could be communicating with a good spirit, but don't take the risk. You don't want to invite a bad one.

The board can be used to open paths into different "worlds" and it can be fatal if the wrong path is opened and can't be closed. In other words if you don't want evil spirits around you leave the board alone.
