I am a bit over 2 weeks late for my period, but for the last week or so ive had really abnormal blood type discharge of a morning every now and again, although it is really really dark. Its not constant like a period and sometimes its not noticeable until you wipe (sorry for the details!) and its only really in the mornings. I have also been getting pains in my lower abdomen and lower back at the sides. Also sharp pains in my breasts every now and again (But very rarely). I have been to the doctor for something else, and i did tell him about it but he didnt seem worried about it, but he also didnt tell me what could be wrong. I've since noticed in the last few days that my tummy is feeling quite hard and bloated and i swear my breasts have gotten a tiny bit bigger and veins are starting to appear. I have had negative tests, but could it still be pregnancy or if not what could it be?

Get a real doctor opinion fast. And make sure it's a female doctor. I have found, unfortunately, that a lot of male doctors do not know what their doing, even if their a gynecologist.
My wife and I was told she couldn't get pregnant, yet she did 3 months later. However, my wife have showed up negative for our first child during and after morning sickness. We didn't find out she was pregnant until she was in her 2nd trimester.
Some of the things you say does remind me of the time we've had miscarriages. But I'm serious. See a real, honest, doctor, and get checked out!

Go to the doctor again. Sharp pains could be an ectopic pregnancy ... highly unlikely, highly unlikely, but possible. The discharge could be nothing, could be a period, or it could be a problem.
Or you could be pregnant. My current pregnancy (19 weeks now) was a false negative at first. My sister-in-law, now 7 weeks, has 4 false negatives over almost two weeks. But she had a blood test at the doctor's office.
Go to the doctor ... see if you can see a different doctor in the practice if yours is not concerned ... put your mind at ease that everything is ok. Best of luck.

Well I don't want to jump the MC gun here but of course I will not be the only one, and for that I am sorry.
I would say that you either have an infection - they will give you pregnancy symptoms - see our information here:
http://ladiesplace.net/community/index.php?topic=37.0
Or you are pregnant but with the spotting [which honestly could be NORMAL} but may mean a miscarriage.
You may also be having an Ectopic pregnancy, this will give EVERY sign of a normal pregnancy until it is almost to late and the tube errupts.
Either way, not all woman can take hpt's. So what I suggest is calling your doctors office back and telling them you believe you are pregnant, you are blah blah late and you are spotting ...they should get you right in...if he does not then seek the help from your family physician, they will be able to give you a pelvic exam and also have you take a pregnancy test too, they may even send you for blood hcg levels for the next 48 hours to first see if you are pregnant and then to see if they are doubling.
I seriously wish you the best in this situation it is never fun to play the guessing game.

yes you could still be pregnant and have a negative test result when my sister in law was prego with both my nieces she got a negative result for about 2 months then it finally showed a positive so that is possible. But all the symptoms you said don't sound like a pregnancy??You should go see a OBGYN just to be sure though

You should go back to the Doctor and have her make sure. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my test worked two days before my missed period. I knew before then though, I couldn't keep anything down. Just in case.. Be extra good to yourself till you know for sure.

It could be pregnancy. Go to your doctor and ask for a blood test. They are much more sensitive than the urine pregnancy test because the pregnancy hormone shows up in your blood faster than in your urine.

You definately still could be pregnant, but not enough hormone is going through your system. I would go see your doctor and they can run blood test to see if you are pregnant! Good luck!
