Torrents so sloooooooooooooow....?

Question

im downloading torrents from uTorrent and ive have tried everything to make them go faster!!! so far the fastest i gotten it to be is 3.0 KB/S and whenever i download things from LimeWire they go at 26-36 KB/S...

What can i do to make them go faster? ive already left the computer alone but it still that slow


help!!!! my downloads are taking forever!!

You need to port forward your router and firewall. Check out the website that's listed as a source.

Its not the torrents or limewire it all depends on ur Connection your Isp is the one that makes your comp fast or slow but try using Bit tornado its fast but again its not really the torrent or anything like that

i guess people dont know what they are talking about when it comes to torrents here.

im guessing your connecting to internet through a router or other gateway. hopefully you have access to it, like at home or something.

you need to learn how to setup port forwarding on your router. i know this is a wiki for the azereus client, but if you find out how to clear your NAT issues, i guarantee that your speeds should increase.

you should be getting somewhere like 100Kb/s on some heavily seeded torrents. try to fix your NAT issues and download a linux iso on bittorrent to test out the speed, because those are always heavily seeded. good luck.

torrents are obviously slow.. it divides your bandwidth into 2,one for downloading and other for uploading.. that is your comp acts as a peer,the data you have downloaded is sent to other downloaders.. the speed also depends on number os peers and seeds available.. we cant say that one bittorrent is faster than utorrent they are just trackers..
the benefit of torrents over limewire is torrents are safe..

try Bitlord and also disable your firewall. Bitlord is much faser than uTorrent
