It depends what type of work you are going to do.

Have a look at this link:http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/life/employment/young_people_and_employment.htm

It tells you all you need to know including hours, and times, ages etc.

I think a 13 year old can get a paper round but as to full time employment I think the age limit is 16

15 year olds need a work permit which can be obtained from the local authority. There are strict guidelines around how many hours they can work and the employer can be prosecuted if found to be in breach of the legislation.

It depends on the duties of the job. Most states have laws restricting the types of work (for example operating dangerous equipment) that can legally be done by persons below a certain age.

in england, there are obviously different labor laws, but from what I have heard, they can employ as long as they do not work more than 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. The boy is probably working under the table anyway.

16 is the legal age unless you do paper rounds or the milk rounds. Or you maybe able to do small jobs for small self employed companies like flower arranging etc.

The legal age is 13 but the amount of hours you can do is limited. 13 is the age you start paper rounds and that is working.
