Well. My friend is opening up a coffee shop and he wants to use his laptop just like an access point so people will connect to his wifi spot and they will connect to it. Then when they connect to it they will have to pay for the use of the internet and they will have access after the credit card information and username andp assowrd have been entered correctly. Can you please explain how it is done and how i can do it? Thank you very much.

He will need a router not a laptop. There are some made particularly for this use. Check wireless gateways like the AirEpoch units. They even have ticket printers available for just this purpose.

A laptop cannot be used as an access point. He needs to buy a wireless router. I know of no way he could charge by CC, other than at the cash register, where he could issue passwords or user names.
