I am training a good friend of mine for free of charge. She had been doing really well in her sessions, so today I offered to treat her to a healthy lunch, so i gave her my card to pickup two Tai salads.... She gets back and says she ate hers in the car... I get home and see one salad charged on my card(mine) and another 10 dollars charged to McDonalds. I am so furious 1. because she lied to me. 2. Because she's not making an effort to eat better and 3. Because I feel she stole my money to buy the McDonalds. I know if I go off on her she'll get upset and go binge eat some more, BUT I am literally steaming from the ears I'm so mad. How can calm down about this so I dont end up scremaing, and how can I confront her with this without causing her to comfort eat as a relfex? Thanks!

Consider it a gift that you learned this about her. Take some deep breaths meanwhile, divert your attention and realize that you may not have the power to change everyone. Enjoy your evening as life is too short to be upset and angry since it will eat away at YOU.

Just let her know that everybody has cravings and sometimes people make mistakes because they feel as if there is no other option in that moment. Im sure she is just as mad and ashamed of herself and you are. Just tell her that you know what she did and you're not mad about it, You are just disapointed. Let her know that you have all the confidence in the world that she can do this if she fully commits herself.

I would definitly ask her why she didn't just tell you she used your card at Mickey d's. Please don't lend your card out again. Next time you could lose alot more money. Stealing and lying are different from an eating disorder. Tell her if she wants to be friends you really need her to always be Honest.

Just learn your lesson here and do not give her access to your money anymore. Then you need to decide if you feel your free lessons are worth the effort anymore. you cannot help someone that is not helping themself. Good luck

Try allowing an occasional junk food treat into your training sessions.

It doesn't sound like she's very committed. Dump her now before you waste more of your valuable time. Plus, you know she's not honest so why would you want to help a thief?......good luck!
