a timeline for pollution?

i need a timeline for pollution and i need to know when it began and all that junk......i need at least 15 important dates.please help!!!!!

Try the national geographic or discovery channel website. I saw a thing on ice the other day on one of these two channels. They were drilling into millions of years old ice which was telling them about pollution with each layer. Every year it would rain with mixtures of pollution in it and then the snow storms would seal the small layer from that year, then again next year. In the ice the scientists could tell where we were using lead based petrol, as the ice was black, then they could see where we stopped using lead in petrol, as the ice for the years after was clean-ish again.
