Usually ferrets live about 6-7 years. We had 2 and they were so much fun. If you don't already have one they are great pets and can be trained to do a lot of things.

I had a ferret and it lived about 12 years.I think the life expectancy on ferrets is about 10-15years.
But,one thing about ferrets, they are very prone to cancers and can catch human diseases from their owners.
I thought i wanted one, when i was in the pet store, because they are SO CUTTTE! but,I would never personally recommend a ferret, just because they are the DIRTIEST,and SMELLIEST animal EVER!
but,it is up to you,

Why, WHY in the reptile section? I mean sure, they have tails, but does that qualify this indecisive action?! You surely are a mad woman.

Aside from that, about 7-10 years, presuming you properly care for it.
