gaming pc,s require pci-express graphics and a decent processor and memory and these dont come cheap these days, especially if you need a 19"t.f.t also
however there are some excellent budget systems around such as the Power Gamer Dual Core AM2 Tower System(http://www.powerc.com/ps/code=998-3355&act=gpage/1/629-1175194842-479//)
as you can see the specs are amazing for the price but you dont get a monitor included,as you would be hard pushed to get a top spec system like this for less than £500
may i recommend using your current monitor until you can buy one seperately,as this is a must not miss offer, the dual core chip and 1gb of kingston memory is the makings of a powerhouse ,and the geforce 7600gt is a excellent graphics card, capable of hitting frame rates in the low hundreds
also this motherboard is s.l.i ready so if you want to add a 2nd 7600gt at a later date you will have a real power gaming p.c
good luck

well i cant answer you in quid but in dollars i have quite a few answers for you
1. go to dell.com
2. go to desktops and the home and home office.
3. build and configure online a dell dimension e520
(maybe this link works
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=DDDWAA4&s=dhs)
4. if you see the one begining at 850$ already comes with a 20" lcd flat panel moniter and 2gigabytes of ram.
5. get a 2.13 core 2 duo processor.
6. I would recommedn you get a better cd drive but that is all up to you.

this is an amazing computer especially for gaming it will be very fast, but i recommend you get windows xp and not vista because i dont know how many games are compatible with vista, and if gaming works as well.
this would be my best deal for the money, because i am a loyal customer of dell and i have a computer very similar to this one which works great, but there are other choices as well. you can always find custom built computers on online stores, but the dell truley is the best deal

Have a look at zoostorm (www.pcnextday.co.uk) and www.pcspecialist.co.uk. You should have a look at www.pcworld.co.uk-> clearance and the packard bell core2duo 6300 is a good bnuy at £299.

The price comparison sites www.kelkoo.co.uk and www.pricerunner.co.uk are also worth a look.
