Generally lipids are glycerol and fatty acids

Lipids don't really fall under the monomer/polymer classification, but if it's for memorization you could say they're fatty acids. Lipids are made up of fatty acids and glycerol.

I'm going to add that, in addition to the glycerol-fatty acids type, there are also cholesterol-based lipids, that have a four-ring structure.
