To even put Edge on the list with Ladainian Tomlinson is an insult to Tomlinsons skills as a player,Larry Johnson is an excellent rusher and i think its safe to put Tomlinson and Johnson on the same list, but Ladainian Tomlinson is miles ahead in that race, although johnson could probably keep up,he just overall doesnt have the same skills as Tomlinson.......
and just for the record the only LT i know is Lawrence Talylor and last time i checked he was a running back, and as good as Mr.Ladainian Tomlinson is,i dont think he will ever be "LT"

Many my think Lt is the Best RB IN THE NFL. I disagree, I would say Larry Johnson or the Kansas City Chiefs. He is a tough guy. Have you seen this guy play he is big and still make defenders miss. LT is just on a better team. If Johnson were on the Chargers they would of went further in the playoffs. John had more carries than LT with 416 compared to LT 348. LJ is built to last. LT had a lot of "cheap touchdown" 1-2 yarders. I could run it in from 2 yards. lol. If you are a fantasy player go with LJ!

Ugghhh. Yeah, LT is the best, LJ is a couple of years behind him. LJ is not as complete as LT and don't think that he will ever be, but I think that eventually he'll be better at running over people and breaking through holes than LT (LT also excells at pass blocking and catching out of the backfield which LJ won't ever do). Edge shouldn't even be mentioned with these guys unless you are talking about him before knee surgery.

Tomlinson by far. He's more versatile than both players you named, and just as good a running back as Johnson. I agree with the people saying that James does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the other two. James might not be the best running back on his own team. Of course, the Cardinals are irrelevant anyway.

LT, Johnson gets too many carries not enough yards and scores and Edge sucks. LT NFL touchdown record and led the league in yards. Larry set an NFL record for most carries

LT by a mile.
James' best years are in the past, personally, I think Gore and Alexander should be up there as #2 and #3. I dig LJ but he just needs to show a little more.

LT is by fqar the most versatile and explosive running back in the entire league. He can get you a 25 yard run on the outside with his speed, or a 3 yard blast up the middle to get a first down. He is virtually unstoppable. LT is on my list of the greatest running backs to ever play the game. It takes two or three guys to take him down every single play.

LT stands alone. #2? Larry Johnson, Shawn Alexander, or Frank Gore?

LT is the best, but as a Chiefs fan Johnson is my favorite. Edge's best days are way behind him - he's not even the 3rd best running back in the NFC West.
