I like all kinds of music, and everyday I'm searching for good bands. So, gothic is my next category. Anybody help?

It all depends on your definitin of "gothic". Much like every other genre, there are old and new schools. The goth genre seems to be particularly affected by inustrial music, so there's a larger-than-normal gap between the first wave and modern day.
As far as old school is concerned, I'd recommend Bauhaus, Type O Negative, and Gloria Mundi.
As for new school, I'd recommend Switchblade Symphony and HIM.
Just as a footnote, goth is not exactly my genre of choice, so all you Gloomy Guses out there, feel free to rip me to shreds for recommending bands that are not "true goth".
