Marketing your Florida villa can be a challenge these days. I can remember when there were just a few vacation home rentals. Now there are thousands. Here are some suggestions for you:
1. The most important thing is word of mouth. When someone rents your home and they really like it they will re-book with you. They will also tell others about your vacation home.
2. Use your email signature file. Put something snappy in your email signature file about your vacation home. Every time you send out an email, your vacation home information will be there for all to see.
3. Start a blog about your vacation home and some other interesting fact about the area that your vacation home is located in. People love to read blogs. Blogger offers free blogs.
4. Try http://drbo.net/. This is a website for owners to rent their vacation home property
5.Contact area travel agents and let them know that your home is available for rentals.
6. Try http://www.vrbo.com/ This is another site for owners to advertise their vacation homes
7. Buy a car magnet for your car. Let your car advertise your vacation home while you are out shopping or going to work.

I have been renting villas for several years, and there are a few websites that I always start at. Are you in a development? If I know which development I want to stay in, I will first go to that development's website and check there.
Then, I will also check www.vrbo.com www.greatrentals.com
www.cyberrentals.com

I would suggest that you include pics of all the bedrooms and common areas, plus the pool area. If your home is located in a development or resort, be sure to show lots of pictures and list the amenities. Please make sure you promptly reply to your inquiries from prospective renters. If an owner doesn't reply within a week, I'll delete them from my list of choices.

Overall, I have never had any problems renting from different places! Having a home all to yourselves is so much better than staying in a cramped hotel room!! Good luck!
