The UK did not locate Jews to Palestine after WWII, in fact between for the period of the war and until 1948 they put severe caps on Jewish immigration.

That was one of the main reasons why the 600,000 Jews who were already living in Palestine demanded Independence.

Actually after WWII Britain did everything it could NOT to allow more Jews into Palestine, setting up blockades and boarding virtually all ships coming from Europe, arresting those attemting to reach Israel and sending them to internment camps mainly in Cyprus and other areas of Greece.

Guilt over the Holocaust, and they pushed through the UN the annexation of the now Israel And no they didn't have the authority to do it on there own, so they put a guilt trip on the security council of the UN and divided Palestine into Israel and Trans Jordon
