What's a good career that requires no college education?
I'm stuck in a customer service job, working at a museum, where I literally do nothing all day. I want something challenging, but have no college degree.

I live in an area where the job market is slow. I don't know if I should move, or would even be able to/want to.

Please don't say sales unless you say what I should sell.

Is there a short time certificate out there that will get me a good job? Possibly one I can get my attending courses online?

Try multi-level marketing, specifically Herbalife. It's the best one out there, bar none. Plod away at what you are doing now, but try what I suggest. You can get started for very little and the rewards can be great if you put the effort into it. Just do a search for it...

I see some multi-level marketing comments. There are a lot of network marketing companies out there. I have tried at least 8. I just joined one that I feel is the best one available at this time. I have researched a lot of the ones available and there are a number of good ones out there. The one I chose is called livinity. It's pay plan is the best I have found. It is a company founded by distributors for distributors. It is fairly new so now is the time to get in on the groud floor. The founders are truly honest, good people with integrity, and the desire to help others succeed. If you want anymore information email me at kelly1795@sbcglobal.net. This company is tops. With great products and a great pay plan. Some of the other companies I have tried are Herbalife, avon, pampered chef, nutrition for live, just to name some of the more well known ones.

It depends on your personality. If you are in a customer service job and not satisfied with it - then maybe you could look for employment where they pay for you to train in a specific skill at the same time. There are plenty of certificates and training opportunities out there. Can I suggest that you make a list of the things you enjoy doing, are good at, and want to do - then search for jobs that match this criteria. And remember - its never to late to start learning -

If you don't mind a moderate amount of physical activity, water drilling is a job you can enter as a labourer and earn quite good money as you learn. Even here in NZ, where water shortages aren't as severe as in most places, you meet guys with few academic qualifications who are very successful in this line of work. It's highly technical, but you learn on the job. The search for water will be a growth industry in the coming few years.

Try to be a bricklayer. You can be an apprentice and learn from a good bricklayer about how to lay brick or block. You can be an apprentice for about 2 years and when you get a bricklayers license you will make some fat cash. You'll probably make fat cash just being an apprentice. Or just a mud man. They make more than someone with an associates degree.
