1. The concentration camp where she died.
2. Having to go through some of her teen years cooped up in that shelter with so many other people, some of whom she didn't really like (Dussel especially).

I'd say when she lost her family,the only thing she had to talk to was her family before they died and her diary,and she died from some sickness :(
