22' x 22' = 484 sq ft

if you assume the rooms are truely square then the dimensions of each room are the sqrt(121ft^2) x sqrt(121ft^2) which is 11ft x 11ft. by placing those 4 rooms into the shape of another square room you get 22ft x 22ft, or 484ft^s.
