The baby was also in a breech position when the last ultrasound(31weeks) was done.

Well I cant tell you somethings wrong with your baby per say. But Im 39 wks and only had 1 (20 wks). I asked my midwife why I only get one and they said they only do more than one if there are complications. But maybe your doctor/midwife is different.

Well if the doctor hasn't mentioned any problems besides the uterine septum it's probably nothing to worry about. Some docters just allow you to have more. A lot of the ultrasound decisions that are made are whatever the insurance covers. I'm only 9 weeks and 5 days and I've had 3 already and there has been no problems. So try not to stress yourself and if you find yourself stressing. Just call the doctor and ask.

I am almost 25 weeks pregnant and I have also gone for several ultrasounds (8 wks, 10 wks, 12 wks, 20 wks). The doctors were monitoring a blood filled sac near the placenta, which eventually resolved itself.
The jury still seems to be out as to whether or not ultrasounds are completely safe for the baby, but if there's something your doctor is monitoring (like the uterine septum), it's kind of important to continue doing them. At your next appointment I would just ask your doctor to be straight up with you, and I would write down questions you might have about the uterine septum. It's better to just ask rather than worrying yourself about it.
Best of luck to you and your little bean!

if your baby is in breech position it can set the scene for more problems later such as a nucal cord (cord around the neck). it really depends on the doctor how many ultrasounds you get. the fact the your baby is in a breech position is important to keep an eye on because if can make the birthing process a lot more difficult. it is important too for finding the positioning of the baby to see if he or she has moved yet. you should ask the doctor if there are any specific reasons why hes scheduling so many ultrasounds and if there is anything potentially wrong. there is no risk to the baby with the ultrasounds so you can have one every week if you really wanted. good luck hun!

If something was wrong with the baby then they would tell you.
At my 20week ultrasound they found my daughter had cysts on one of her kidneys. They told me as soon as they saw it, and sent me to a specialist. I needed many ultrasounds during the rest of my pregnancy to keep an eye on the cysts.

So if something was wrong with the baby they would have told you during the ultrasound (they call in a Dr to tell you) or your Dr would have told you after he/she got the results.
So it sounds like they are just keeping an eye on your uterine septum to make sure all is well.

I am high risk, I am 16 weeks and I am going fro my fourth one next week. I have an u/s every four weeks....it's not harmful. If it was the doctor would not do them unless it's absolutely necessary. You are fine at having four. Ask the dr about the baby. They check the growth so maybe that's what they are keeping an eye on. If there was a problem the dr would let you know. Good luck and don't worry let them do the u/s. It's always fun to see my baby.

Well that is nothing to worry about, that means they are keeping a GREAT close eye on you and the baby, making sure everything is ok! I gladly would take a sonogram each time I ever went in...{although I am still TTC after 2 years and 2 losses}

But since there is a "cause" for precaution then that is all they are doing is keeping an eye on your septum so nothing happens.
Best wishes

I have had only one done at the Dr's office the other was an elective one (3D) I asked my Dr and he said that you can do quite a few uktrasounds and it wouldn't affect the baby, he also said the dopler they use to hear the heart beat is very similar to what the ultrasound machine does, one sends back pictures and the other sound. Good luck!

If something were wrong your doctor should tell you, but consider yourself lucky because I'm 32 weeks and my doctor said I probably won't get another ultrasound. I really want one because I'm always curious as to how my baby is positioned. Congrats on your pregnancy, good luck and God bless.

It doesn't mean that something is wrong, but it does mean that it is something they want to watch closely. Over time, a problem could develop. Most of the time it's a total nonproblem! It's why you have prenatal visits--they can watch for things that MAY be wrong so that they can be prepared.
