I have never played Rotisserie Baseball before. Here's (http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/275435/1) the team in 12-man league I just drafted. I am flush with solid pitching and have decent SBs and average. The one area in which I am reeking should be obvious.

So my question is, is dominating in the piching and holding my own in a couple offensive categories enough to win in fantasy baseball? Or do I need to worry about trading to at least be somewhat competitive in every category?

Well, I preach balance, but I do favor good pitching slightly over offense.

Your pitching is sick. Anything could happen, but you should maul people in the pitching categories. I'm starting to like Dice-K, the more I hear.

Your power, average and stolen bases outside of Reyes are pretty weak.

So, will you hold your own on offense? Maybe. You're pinning some of your hopes on guys like Crisp, Alou and Thomas to catch lightning in a bottle. I'm worried about a guy like Young being a fixture in your lineup.

To answer your main question, I do think you are going to have to dangle one or two of your pitchers to boost your offense. I think you could try it out for a week or two and see how you hold up. Willis might be the guy to shop, but we'll see how he looks.

It's a long season, so don't be rash. You can afford to be patient. Scrounge the waiver wire for the next big thing, and you might get lucky. A guy like Shea Hillenbrand could end up displacing Juan Rivera all season, and he may thrive in Anaheim.

This is your rookie season, so again, be patient, and be very wary of trades, as the more seasoned guys will try to prey on you.

You will make the playoffs. Its a strong team. You may need to make some trades to upgrade the offense but, besides that I would expect you in the playoffs.
