I believe that their are only two canidiates for MVP honors this year, that is Dirk and Kobe. Now I will explain
Dirk is having a career year this year and that is showing in Dallas' record, hey are number one. Dallas would not be able to be this good with Dirk, he is the leader of the team, and he leads the best team in the NBA. That deserves an MVP vote.
Now I know many will hate my next pic but how can you not put Kobe in the race. He has done what knowone thought he could ever do, change his game. He is now a leader to a very young team and has managed to keep the Lakers in the playoff race despite injuries to Mihn, Brown, Walton, and Odom. Kobe has also began to pass the ball. That is shown by 5.5 assists a game. Knowone believed he had he ablity to do that. Kobe is trusting his teammates ( even though some of his team mates havent proved trustworthy) and. He is also begining to take over the game when needed. He gets his team going then when they need him, he is there ( 4+ games with 50+ pts).
I know everyone will be mad that I do not say Nash, but the Suns have two other All Stars and they could win without him. Besides all Nash has done this year is what he did lat year and last year was a failure. Why you might ask, because they still could not get out of the Western Confrence. I know when Nash was out they lost, but is Nash was not on the team they would learn how to play with out him and they would still win. You could put Chris Paul, Deron Williams, T.J. Ford, or Mo Williams in Nash's place and they still would win. That is why he is not the MVP, the Suns wouls still have more than enough talent to win without him

The only person who should be considered for the MVP is KOBE BRYANT, i will explain why. The MVP should go to the MOST valuable player. The lakers have nothing without Kobe Bryant. The Phoenix Suns are a playoff team with out Steve Nash, the same goes for Dirk in Dallas. What do you get when you take Kobe from the Lakers?.................................answer the Atlanta Hawks. I am sure you seen how they play. Kobe is the backbone of that team. He was robbed last year of the MVP. It would be a shame if it were to happen two years in a row.

Honestly, it should be a two-man race between Dirk Nowitzki & Steve Nash. So what if Kobe had 4-straight 50 point games? Dirk & Steve have been battling all year to get their teams to that top-spot in the West. Dirk is the one of the most amazing big-guys I've ever seen and I don't think there is no better teammate than Steve Nash. I bet Amare Stoudamire and Shawn Marion would do anything to keep a player of Nash's caliber on the Suns. But I (being the biggest Mavericks fans eva!) would pick Dirk just because he is the best player on the best team. And I don't think Wilt Chamberlain, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, or Karl Malone can shoot jumpshots like Dirk. So case closed. Dirk Nowitzki 4 MVP. Nash shouldn't have won it last year. It belonged to Kobe. But oh well! Dirk deserves it this year. Anyone who wants to argue, BRING IT ON!

KOBE
It's between Dirk, Nash, Kobe & LeBron. I think either Dirk or Kobe b/c Nash as good as he is has too much of a supporting cast unlike Kobe. He has stoudemire, matrix, barbosa... etc. Dirk's supporting cast has stepped up more than kobe's, so i'd say Kobe has literally carried the lakers out of loosing streaks w/ no help from his injured teammates. Kobe it is !!!
