Right now, Melina actually is the best choice. Don't get me wrong; I would rather watch Victoria and Mickie, but they've been there before. The women's division just lost two huge talents in Amy Dumas (Lita) and Trish Stratus, so the division is down to two decent wrestlers. Mickie had a big 2006, and Victoria . . . well, the WWE just misuses her. Basically what I'm trying to say is that they're probably trying to keep the division from being two women. The best thing to do would be to fire the eye candy and hire some women with skills, but the second best thing to do is put the title on Melina. She is decent in the ring, and Maria, Torrie, and Candice can build Melina up through jobbing. In the meantime, Melina can build her skills. She's already making progress.
I miss Noreen Greenwald (Molly Holly), Trish, and Amy. I wish they would hire April Hunter, too.

As far as I can tell, they're doing the annual "WWE Diva turned Playboy cover girl gets a WM title match so both Playboy and WM can hype each other and whatnot" thing, so a heel was really required to hold the title, with Melina Perez being the obvious choice in terms of how over she was at the time (though Victoria, granted, is the better wrestler). Can't see Ashley winning at Mania, and I'd bet good money that Mickie James will take the title back within the next couple of months. And at least she's ON the WM card in some form.

Of the divas they have now Mickie or Victoria are the only worthy choices. My personal favorite diva has always been Lita. She brought a lot to the women's division that wasn't there before she came.

I hope Victoria gets to have it, she's one of the best right now. Lita is a great choice, she was unlike any diva. I think Chyna would've dominated the division because of her strength.

Divas that can't wrestle SHOULD NOT BE CHAMPIONS! Like really WWE should TRAIN THEM! For instance Candice Michelle- makes wrestling look fake. Victoria, she is like an awesome wrestler, and can probably wrestle some of the guys. Mickie James knows how to wrestle also. Lita, Trish, and Chyna. (mostly chyna) can fight guys. and i think if they can make it look good fighting a guy wrestler, then they should be appointed to be women's champ. but like ashley/ or melina probably cant wrestle with those guys

chyna wuz the best women's champ of all time besides moolah! she actually fought guys! melina doesnt deserve it neither does ashley! those girls should train more better so they can actually make wrestling look real! candice michelle sucks b@lls! torrie wilson sucks 2! melina sucks! ashley sucks! and the other divas suck! the only good ones now r mickie james n victoria!
