I've the same problem, I will download some videos from MSN Vidoe, when I go the "Temporary Internet files" I only find the videos in *.dat. Is there any chance to convert them to *.wmv, *.avi or *.mpg?

I think that MSN is .wmv format videos. If you have FireFox, there is a plug-in you can download from the Mozilla site that lets you download embedded content in web pages. If you don't have FireFox, then download the new version 2.0.0.3. Anyway, go to the video once you have the plug-in and when the window opens, in the lower right hand corner of the window there should be a red arrow, and when you click it it will give you options on downloading what content to which folder etc.
