Where did all the employers go?

What happened to those employers who would give a new college graduate a chance to prove himself/herself? It seems that every job posting I see they want one year experience in which I have been temping for one year, but most companies are frowning. So, where did they go?

The market has changed. Entry level positions are indeed hard to come by and temporary work does not make for a strong resume, unfortunately. At this point, you need to sink in somewhere and be there for a year or so to prove you can stay with a job. You may wish to do an incredible job at one of these temporary assignments and hope that they like you enough to offer you a permanent position. At this point in your work life, it is a worthy aspiration.

I work contract and I had a company recently tell me that while they are filling a contract position, they thought I had too many jobs in the last year. I am a hired gun and I go and complete contracts, yet this company wants to pass judgment on the same thing they are hiring. It is a very confusing, two-faced world.

I know you will find the right opportunity eventually. Do not get upset. The market will change and you will be positioned for a good job.

Did they ever really exist? Was there actually a time where experience did not matter? I greatly doubt it. Getting that first job is sometimes tough. There is a lot of luck involved, and what field you are searching in makes a big difference. The thing is that one field may be better than another in any given moment. The job market is a changing environment at all times. All you can do is do the best you can to market yourself better and keep trying. Maybe consider getting some career advice or polish up your resume at the university you graduated from. Most of them have services for this sort of thing. Good luck!

confident, in actuality maximum employers will ring your final employers to lower back up what you're saying on your CV. on the top of the day i will placed on my CV; i became quite difficult-working at my final activity and that i continually did my artwork without a fuss... yet i ought to be mendacity!

Keep trying the right place will accept you. Make sure you aren't doing anything wrong like what you wear and your handshake is good, I have heard that a hand shake is very important!

That and call the companies and do some due diligence.
