Waiver Wire refers to the pool of players that are not currently on a team and are available for anyone to pick them up.

If you draft 1st in your league your team would be last to pick up a player on waivers.If you pick last your team would have the first chance to pick up a player dropped by another team.The waiver wire isnt the players its the teams pick order.
