Its a cultural enigma. While some homeless are purely destitute, others seem economically and literally functional. Which leads to this quote by Jerry Garcia. 78% percent of americas mentally ill live below the poverty line. But what interest me is those 22% that seem to be doing pretty well

There is a HUGE difference between bums and homeless. Homeless means your house burn down, you got laid off and could not get a job after the rent was due (this takes months), etc.
A bum is someone who never betters themselves and harassing the oppressed masses for free money to be spend on booze. The PC thugs call these people 'homeless'. They are not. They are worthless, parasitic bums.
