Evidently- she was NOT the only person who was unhappy with that guy's harrassment. A number of people in the Stands were only TOO happy to "give him up". This suggests that her reactions may well have been justified...

for all we know with the comments he made, he might as well have been wearing a white cape with a tall coneshaped hood. the williams sisters have gone through this kind of thing before but it doesnt mean that they have to keep putting up with it. serena handled it well and even won the match but the heckler's nasty comments still had to have hurt her.

Not in the least.
He wouldn't have been thrown out if he hadn't done anything wrong. You can boo all you want, but you have no right to make personal attacks against her.
He also disturbed many around himself in the stands, causing an uncomfortable situation all around.
Ms. Williams handled herself with dignity and grace in a very hurtful and embarrassing situation and should be commended on her maturity and and upstanding behavior.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Serena should withdraw from the tournament, catch a plane, get off, drive to your house and wait for you to answer the door and then slap you across the face for that question...
You're basically condoning what the heckler said by asking that question.

I don't think she over reacted. We are in a new century, and stuff like that should not be happening.

that's a really dumb question. this guy was making racial slurs which she shouldn't have to put up with. she said it herself she really that she didn't care about his jeering but once he started using racial slurs he crossed the line
