Plainly, you wouldnt want to go in to labor at 35 weeks, because its true that it is preterm and your baby will generally be small. It is however VERY possible, and if nature sees it fit to deliver at 35 weeks, then he will come. Although that would make your baby premature, many many women give birth to premature babies, and sometimes even earlier than that, and they are very strong and healthy. Inform your doctor of all your concerns tho, because there are things that the doctor can do to help prolong your pregnancy, but I am not sure if that is the case for you at this time. Your baby is really finishing up right now and up until the 37/38 week he is developing his lungs (the final organ to mature) and putting on much needed weight. :) It's hard not to be anxious for them to come out, but it's all for the best, you're really close!! :) Hope this helps.

Yes, it is. You aren't considered full term unitl 37 weeks. But your baby does have a very high chance of survival. All of his/her major bodily functions are devolped by now. Your Dr. may give you something to help prolong your pregnancy for a few more weeks. Congrats and Good Luck.
