Well,I don't have one favorite,I'm a huge movie geek.Though, the movie that spoke to me most at this time in my life is Woody Allen's Hannah & Her Sisters. This may contain spoilers,so don't read further if you plan to se it.
There's more to the story than I'm saying, but the aspect I could relate to was Woody's character. He was a hypochondriac and he ended up actually getting a tumor. He later found out it was non-cancerous.He felt joyous, then stopped in his tracks. He realized how brittle life is and became nihilistic and depressed.Well, they show his downfall, and in the end, while he was trying to kill himself,he was very nervous. He was sweating profusely. From the nervousness, his gun went off...but it slipped from the sweat. He panicked.Neighbors were knocking, etc. He went for a walk to gather his thoughts. He went into a movie theatre where they were showing a Marx Bros. movie he grew up watching. He had a sort of epiphany. He was going to approach life in a more positive way all because he realized life wasn't always that bad after he quit trying to answer questions he never would and just learn to laugh at the absurdity. It's the same way I learned to not take life or philosophy so seriously.

My favorite movie of all time is Face-Off. If your looking for star power (Nicholas Cage & John Tavolta) A great story line that gets better as the movie goes on. Not only action but the drama the embodies the man versus man conflict. not to mention great direction (John Woo), then this is the movie for you also.

"Schindler's List."

Why?
1. Stellar acting. Ralph Fiennes was robbed of an Oscar.
2. Unique and beautiful cinematography.
3. Thrilling drama. Kept me on the edge of my seat.
4. Important and essential story that needed to be told.
5. Love Stephen Spielberg, and this was his best work.
6. Perfect script. Dialogue and story were presented flawlessly.
7. Emotional plot that touched my very soul. Really humanized an inhuman situation.
8. Artistic presentation. Almost every camera shot is frameable.

My favorite movie of all time is Lady and the Tramp. Lol, I love this movie because as a child I have so many memories watching this with my passed away Grandmother. One of the things she gave me was a lady stuffed animal. I still have it to this day, and it is something that will make me remember her.

Hunt for Red October. I know it's kinda old, but it's a mental Techno mystery set in the not so distant past. Other than that I went retro and watched a ton of John Wayne movies. Remember "Hatari"?

I like an oldie called, "Its a Wonderful Life," starring James Stewart. It tells the story of how much good in the world a simple common man (or woman) can do and that the world would be a different place without each of our contributions. i like the movie's moral.
