hi everybody...Some of you didnt understand my question, I wanted to know what EACH OF YOU would buy for your loved person .. ..I loved all the replies anyways, because let me know some places i didnt know i could buy typical thing there.

Anything "Made in Lebanon".
-A Lebanese Narguileh (chicha)
-Any house decoration that is made out of Bronze (N7ass)
-Any antique item that can be found in old places like Byblos
-Lebanese post cards
-T shirt with "I Love Lebanon"
-Lebanese Sweets

It depends on what interests your friend.
If your friend for example is into arts and likes Lebanon, I would send him a book on Lebanese traditional architecture in villages, or a large poster...Another idea would be Phoenician antiques...If s/he's interested in literature, perhaps a book for Gebran.
I wouldn't take food :P

We found this fantastic liitle shop on the edge of the souk in Tripoli that was like walking into Aladdin's Cave ! So much beautiful stuff that it was difficult to decide . My choice would be a beautiful inlaid jewellery box as it is something that the one I love can put her treasures in & can keep forever .

well i have a friend of mine who created this "little Phoenician" idea, its a small doll, which represents Lebanon, plus some photos of Lebanon, to show them how beautiful is our country!

it also depends if that person is lebanese or not. I found that all the artisanats have exquisite things for all budgets and tastes.
