The Haunted Mansion, The Frighteners, Ghostbusters.
Lots of good old spooky Disney flicks from the 50s-70s like, Escape from With Mountain, Something Wicked this Way Comes, etc. More suspenseful stuff like The Moon-Spinners, The Bad Seed, or The Haunting.

Remember, movies have been around for over 100 years. There are tons of older films that tend to have less strong language and overt sexual situations, but can be scarier than today's more explicit gore.

(Will kids watch black and white movies?)

No foreplay or swearing but gruesome guts and blood and induced paranoia and mindtrips are ok? At 11?

My god the youth of today.

6th Sense. I believe that is PG-13. I saw it in theaters in 8th grade w/ some friends, no parents, so I'm pretty sure it is.
