couple of thoughts, postmodern defines problems, but often looks at finding solutions within that problem, rather then eliminating it (,meaning get rid of the whole subject) such as, if there are problems in our government,,,, we wouldnt eliminate democracy and our system, we would fix it ,,,, also, a theory of it is to "think globally, act locally",,,,,,,,,meaning bring the problem or situation down to your comminity level,,,, you wouldnt write about the national divorce or marriage rate, but that of your own city/state,,,,, nor about education in general,,,, but how to improve a local school,,,,,
a few examples, as they would apply to sociology,,,,,,,
improving child care for working mothers
developing tutoring or an after school/saturday program for disadvantaged children
the global problems in these situations are the "plight of the working class" and perhaps "children living in poverty or the affects of racism"
so basically, its taking a large (global) problem,,,,,,, and narrowing it down to your community
any subject concerning current humans lives/situations would qualify for a sociology subject
