Today I found out that one of my best friends, who is a guy, has been anonymously bullying this girl that I know. He sends her emails calling her fat, dumb, smelly etc. from fake email addresses and profiles. The girl in question is really quiet, shy, small, the bookworm type and wouldnt hurt a fly, I dont know what my friend has against her. I know that I need to step in but what should I do? The girl in question is 19 and my friend is 30.

You could start by telling him to grow up. This is completely uncalled for behavior and is not something an adult of 30 should be doing. If it persists she should contact the police regarding harassment and you should explain to him that you will be suggesting just that.

Your friend is far too old to being so immaturely - he ought to know better. There is nothing this young girl could have done to deserve such treatment from him.
If he's one of your best friends, and such hateful behavior is uncharacteristic for him, you might want to give him the benefit of the doubt and ask him why (in a non-accusatory, non-confrontational way). If he can't provide any sort of logical reason, then you can ream him out for being so mean, and let him know you're very disappointed.
Talk to the girl as well, and let her know what is going on and who is behind it (so she knows it's a specific person, and not dozens). Assure her that you've tried to stop it, and are willing to support her if she wants to have him punished for spamming, harassment, etc.

Confront him about it. He shouldnt do that. It isnt nice. If you really cared for your friend then you would tell him that it is enough of what he has been doing to that girl. Then email the girl and say that your sorry that your friend was bullying her.It would be the right thing to do. Good luck!

What your friend is doing is harrassment. If you know for a fact that it is him, you need to tell her so that she can block his e-mails from reaching her at least. At most, she can go to the police and have him charged with harrassment.
I know that it is hard to turn in a friend (and most people won't), but how would you like this type of material affecting you daily.

You should voice your opinion to your freind about how you feel about the situation. No only is this a mean thing to do, but it is very childish for a grown azz man to be palying those type of games anyway. Someone needs to let him know he needs to grow up.

u should just go up to this gal and let her know who is doing all of this to a poor young gal, u need to tell her also so that she can lodge a complain abt this guy..or u should make friend with that gal and pay him back, play his own game at him.. it will totally destroy her if u dont tell her cos she is still growing and at this stage gals are more sucidial.. and u need to tell ur 30year old friend to give it up and stop acting like a bloody child...

He is really pathetic. He is no man then. You seriously need to call him out! I sure would. Ask him what the hell is his problem DAMN! You don't need to be all nice about it because he should know better and deserve to treated that way.

tell him that he is a moron and to back off her. you don't do stuff like that to people its innapropriate and distasteful. and also tell him to grow up and act his age he is acting like a stuck up immature 13 year old boy that ought to be beat up
