Impossible question to answer.

Multi FX?
Digital?
Analogue?

Even by these it would still be impossible to answer, unless we had a huge panel, showcasing and testing every pedal ever made.

By 'best' you could mean most popular - the most popular effect, without a doubt; is distortion (or so I would think).

From this I would say that it is possibly a Boss Metal Zone, however it is all down to personal opinion and depends upon the situation.

There are also countless boutique stomp boxes that not many people on here will have tried. £350 effect pedals (single effect, not multi).

Personally (my opinion) you can't beat a clean sound with chorus or delay, or a mixture of a few effects.

It's an impossible question to answer, look at the setup of most pro musicians and you will notice most use several . My grandson plays Blues Rock and has seven set up on a pedal board to give various effects. My personal fave is the Mad Dog wah, really raw and in your face. If the question is leading up to you buying one many good guitar shops will let you try a couple out. That way you know what you're getting. Most important thing is keep on playing. Keep music live.

Wah Wah Pedal, it gave the sound to Sweet Child O' Mine
which is an awsome sound. And The Eddie Van Halen Flanger.

That's a tough one to answer because the pedal that I think is great might be a pedal that you hate. For me, though, it's the Morley Bad Horsie Wah. It's switchless, so you don't have to stomp on it to engage it. Just step on it and it's active.

Tech 21 NYC's Sans Amp Gt2. Best used with a Stratocaster or guitar with similar style pickups. Had one for years now and it's versatile and magic.
