Ok, this one happened like 10 years ago-but anyways. I started thinking about it today.
Around 10 years ago i was dating a girl, we went to a local amusement park which also has a large water-park in it as well. We bring along our swimsuits, figure we will spend half the day swimming and the other half riding rides.
So we go in changing rooms to put on our swimsuits. I come out, then a few minutes later the girl i was with comes out. She has on a one piece swimsuit. She had left her bra on underneath. The white bra straps were clearly showing around her shoulders and back. The swimsuit was purple, so it really stood out. I instantly laughed-and said why didnt you take your bra off? She got mad, marched back in and took it off.
Was this right? Do women wear bras with the strap showing underneath a swimsuit? Was i wrong by saying something?
This all happened years ago, but its been on my mind today and i was just wondering..........

You kind of did do something wrong. And while I do agree that it is silly to wear a bra with a swim suit, I do think you were wrong in laughing at the person and basically humiliating her in front of the general public. i would have said a quiet look or something would have been more appropriate.

Was this girl OK with her body image in the first place? I hate swim suits as I am a bit over weight in the mid section, and am terribly self conscious.

However, I have no idea why the girl was wearing a bra with the swimsuit. maybe it was not a very supportive swim suit or something and she wanted the bra for add'l support. If that were the case, I would have just tried to get a better swim suit.

She was probably very small and didn't want to be embarassed by the sudden size change. I have never seen this though, but my mom does have a one piece swim suit that didn't have a lining on the top, so she sewed a bra into it. But you have to understand that if there is no lining, or shelf bra and considering age and having had 3 children, this was necessary for her to do. The bra straps were cut off though, so it was just the cup itself sewn in.

I once saw on a talk show a girl that had been lying to people about her bra size. She wore severly padded bras, so much that she was a D cup, naturally an A without a bra. She never took her bra off because she hated how small they were, so this was most likely the case with your friend. She probably figured you wouldn't date her if you really knew what size she was.

Okay, you SHOULD NOT HAVE LAUGHED, but she was probably just 'thinking about other things' and forgot to take her bra off before she put her bathing suit on. Bathing suits have 'built in bras' that are made of 'waterproof' material, and I've NEVER seen a woman wear her 'normal day bra' under her 'bathing suit' ...

I have never seen a female wear a bra with a bathing suit. Especially if it is showing. You can buy them with bras in them in them if you want to have on a bra for some reason.

well yeah...ya did'nt have to say it like that.it does'nt look godd when u leave ur bra on wit ur swimsuit...ur not even supposed to do it.most women do it just because they don't wanna show off too much of their body or they're afraid their boobs will fall out of the suit.so next time,be a little nicer or better yet, don't say anything at all^_^

-Good Luck!

That's just weird. While most women (almost all of us) will wear underwear while trying on a new bathingsuit (before buying it), that's it. Bathingsuits were meant to replace clothing--including underwear. Maybe the bathingsuit didn't fit her, and that's why she wore her underwear. If that's the case, shame on her! But my guess is that she may have low self-esteem or is just awkwardly modest. But she could be just weird.

It makes no sense whatsoever to wear bra under the swimsuit, but it is her business and you had no right to make fun of her.

nope, you weren't wrong at all. this girl is pretty darn weird. im sure what must have happened was that the swim suit didn't have any lining so once she hit the water, she got a bit nipply. hahahah. weird, but the TRUTH!

It does sound rather silly but prolly just very self conscious about her breast size.Alot of women & especially young girls worry about their nipples being visible through their clothes, too.I'd say one or the other.Hey guy where'd U get that picture of me in my thong?LOL :)
