It isn't evil, just woefully misinformed. Religion is a personal choice and should not be inserted into the government - that's what I object to.

Nor does attaching the word evil make it bad. No, the Religious right is just misguided- mostly about christianity's role in government and the priorities Jesus held as far as charity and governance.

In order to be evil, one must possess high levels of intelligence. Intelligence requires that one be well read and informed, and have shown a respectful ear to other views. One cannot live in a vacuum and claim intelligence. And from what I see, hear and read, there is little intelligence attached to the religious right.

No , just misguided .
They follow their own way of interpreting the Bible .
They only use phases , that agree with their way of thinking .
They forget that there is something in the Bible for everyone .
If they followed the Bible and Christ teachings , they would know , " He does not want us to kill one another " .
By being so rightest , they have caused a religious backlash in this country and many have turned away from church .
I believe in God and I know I'll be forgiven for my sins , but I will not go to a hate teaching structured Church and listen to everything , but Gods love !

Its just a broad label to describe any religious conservative. Its no different than saying "atheistic liberals." It just broadly defines a group of people that have a certain religious affiliation and politcal ideology.

Yes, words dont make something holy, only God does.

Because we like to see children born and not aborted,
Because we beleive in a power higher that us (God)
Because we beleive in creation, I did't come from a monkey
Because we would like to see everyone go to heaven
Because we beleive the Bible is the word of God and complete.

We donate most to causes and or disasters, we love even the lowest of people, we want to serve humanity, we stand our ground for the truth, we beleive the 10 comandment are real, the golden rule is right.

We actually beleive in the devil and he is evil, whose side to wou want to be on ???????

Many in the religious right are evil. Most, I would hazard to guess, are simply legalists who haven't learned how to think for themselves. That's why they let morons like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and others do their thinking for them and tell them what to believe. Apparently, it's too difficult for them to do personally.

Religion is a personal thing. I don't care who they are if they are trying to convert me, have a holier than thou attitude or try and cram their religion down my throat I don't like it. Since religion is a personal thing it has no place in public documents or public buildings other than churches, synagogs, temples, or mosques.

The religious right are hypocrites. "God loves everyone, but hates gays and non-believers?!?!" When I went to Catholic school, I was taught that God loves everyone equally. That is a great belief! What makes God so great then if he hates? It is hypocritical to say he loves and hates at the same time.

How about Religious WRONG?

Yeah, I may be completely off-base with this, but I see them as the people with the pamphlets, always asking me to convert, without knowing what religion I am. Why do I need to be born again?

Worse than evil. Because they are delusional, illogical, hypocritical, judgmental, narrow-minded.... ANYTHING but "christian"

What makes it worse is that they are so self righteous they are unable to recognize their horrible behavior...... and that only serves to inflame more bad feelings all around.
