You don't have to be tall to be a great player. If your on the shorter side though you'll have to practice harder to make up for the lack of height. About 2 hours a day should do. Maybe an hour and a half of skill training (shot, dribbling, passing). Then a half an hour of running to build your cardio endurance. The greatest players out there are the ones with the best skills and athletic ability not necessarily the tallest.

That's a fallacy. Basketball will not make you taller, but if you want to play basketball and be good at it you should play at least 3 to 4 hours a day. My son went to college on a basketball scholarship at 5'10" (point guard position). He played 3 to 4 hours while in school. In the summers when he wasn't at basketball camps, he played all day long. He never got any taller. If playing basketball would make you taller then he would have been about 8' by now.

Playing basketball won't make you taller. It will make you physically and mentally stronger. I played highschool basbketball, before enlisting in the army. 5 days a week I was in the gym for 3 or more hours. I shot 100 free throws, 100 3 point shots, 100 mid-range shots, and 100 layups. Running suicides may suck, but it makes you quicker. Just practice your behind off, and you'll will improve.

I'm sorry Kev, but playing won't make you taller. Genetics, diet, and the aging process will make you taller. But keep playing to hone your skills. That way, as you grow taller, you will become a better player. The best players play a lot. That is why they are the best players. Just play a lot.

playing has absolutely nothing to do with getting taller. it is predetermined how tall you are actually going to be. and as far as working on your game different players take different amount of time to get ahold of certain aspects of the game. so in that case there is no time that can be put on that either. the more you play the better your gonna be. you can never practice too much. i guess just pray that youll get taller lol.

Hey! I've been telling every body that it is not approximately what number of hours you installed gambling basketball, it is what you place within the hours. With that being stated, it virtually way you might be playing around within the half-hour simply taking pictures round while you might be doing a little well drills that might support your recreation and lose your weight. A man within the health club for two hours simply jogging round and taking pictures in comparison to your half-hour of well exercise or drills. I say the half-hour of drills is bigger. You make a decision!
