Simon created American Idol and has every right to be there.
You have to have a balance with the judges.
Randy is common sense.
Paula is emotional
Simon is a harsh critic.
It all blends together and makes the show what it is. It wouldn't be as much fun if we didn't have Simon.

well it is his show so yes I do.
I think people need to get real...do you really thing that american idol would be the show it is if all the judges were nicey nice and told people how pretty they looked instead of telling them that they don't sing well or that they need to improve. Simon does his job and he does it well and its Simon that is selling this show....without Simon....it would just be Star Search (nobody wants to watch that crap anymore)

Yes! His way of insulting people makes the show a hit. I think he is the best judge even though I like them all.

I think his place on the show is solid. Judges are there to offer constructive criticism which in turn is meant to motivate. For those who cant take it, tough.
