As I said, I want to sell my laptop. It's a HP Pavilion zd8000 17 inch screen, etc. I found this website, www.cashforlaptops.com, do you guy's think it sounds legit? They are offering $570 for my laptop, plus free shiping (from me to them). Do you guy's think that I should do it. This way I will only have to pay about 300 for a new 14.1 inch laptop. I'm a college student and did not realize I would have to be carrying my "big" laptop all around campus. My question is, does this place sound legitimate, or has anyone used this way of selling laptops? Ebay is too much of a hassle.

well, try eBay. cashforlaptops.com is NOT a member of BBB. go to www.bbb.com and check on them. I think they have unsatisfactory records with BBB. Just be aware.

Hello there

Right here is the low down.
I have scanned the web site and referred to my customers reviews and personal experience. I have also used Mcafee Site scanner.

The verdict is:

No problems have been found.

However I have not actually used the site myself.
So my adivse.

Pay using credit card - which makes refunds (as needed) so much quicker and easier.

Make sure they have paid before you post ( refer to site guidelines )

Look around as I have for reviews.

All I can say based on it's rating and my data

The site is good to go but take caution.

All the best

Moose

p.s

Here is the quote form the site:

Q. How soon will I get my cash ?
A. We will mail your payment check the day after we receive your laptop at our facility.

Ask your friends, or friends of friends first. Then put it up for sale on craigslist.com and see if anyone is interested locally. If nothing comes from that, try ebay.
