"In my more than three decades in government, I have never seen anything approaching the degree to which information flow from scientists to the public has been screened and controlled as it is now," James Hansen told a University of Iowa audience.

Hansen is director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York and has twice briefed a task force headed by Vice President Dick Cheney on global warming.

All employees of NASA have to agree to certain policies. Among them are agreements not to discuss some things with reports and people outside the administration. NASA is under the authority of the President and if Hansen does not like having to follow procedure he should quit. There are hundreds of scientist that would gladly take his job.

There was one NASA scientist who left his position because he was unable to speak out against global warming.

it the government trying to control all info that could hurt them in office. It the start of what the Russians did to get total control of their news media. if we the people do not demand that the government get out of all the government departments and let them operate and let them tell the news media what happens good or bad.
