My daughter does this thing for me where I lay on my tummy and she puts her hands on my spine and then puts all her weight on it and it pops. She works her way up my back and it pops all the way up. I feel refreshed after she does it for me. What exactally is it doing when it pops and is it bad for my back. I was told it is bad but it doesnt FEEL like its bad.

I do have a lot of back problems ever since I had my daughter. I was only 17 when I had her and a very small frame. I think pregnancy was too hard on my back. I probably would benefit from back strengthening exercises.

The vertebrae are slipping back into their natural positions, which relieves pressure on the spinal cord. This always feels good, as the spinal cord does not like pressure.
Looking ahead, you might benefit from exercises that strengthen the muscles in your back, which will keep your vertebrae in their correct positions to begin with. Free weights are good for this, as are nautilus machines.

That is true, but be careful please. The wrong pop can damage your spine permanently and in my humble opinion, I'd much rather see a professional than take the chance of being paralyzed. See a Doctor of Chiropractic to get a proper adjustment. Most medical insurance covers chiropractic now.
