Curious on how to become a Nielsen family. Do we need to subscripe to Readers Digest or TV Guide? Please let me know!

I'm not sure about how they select you.
We were a nielson family for shopping-it's called homescan. So we scanned all our purchaces for groceries, etc. We got prizes for it and stuff-but it got to be a big pain so we quit doing it. I never signed up for it anywhere-I just got the letter in the mail asking if I would do it for them.

I think it must be random, but once you're in, they keep calling you. We were picked years ago, to do the notebook diary and they've called us back at least three more times since then.

i think they call you and ask
i was a neilson family for a week a year or so ago
they send you a notebook to keep track off what you watch for a week then u send it back
