I was born and raised in Northern California. California can be a good place or a bad place. I think it all depends on how someone views it. California does have some beautiful places to visit though. Sonoma county is one of them.

I've 'visited' California, and I've also 'lived in California' ... and it's 'different' depending on 'where you are' in the state ... so if you are going for a 'visit' you should choose a 'destination' that has 'lots' of what you want to go for ... which could be 'wine tasting' or 'Hollywood' or 'Amusement Parks' or 'the ocean' or 'San Francisco Art' or 'San Francisco Wild' or San Diego rural, or 'Balboa Park Zoo' or ... you name it, you will find it in California. HAVE FUN!

I was stationed in Longbeach for a year back in 1976 while in the Navy . I loved it there and the people seemed so much more forward there especially the ladies which was quite a good thing for me . I traveled north as far as L. A. and south as far as El Cajon south of San Diego. I had some of the best times of my life while out there.

Sure, every day...... I live here in Northern Cali. I must say I wouldn't give it up for anything. Its Beautiful. The only thing I hate is a plane ticket to Europe is double that of the East Coast. Oh Well, I will just go to Hawaii then.

I live in California!
I agree it is way too over-populated. I work out in one of the most busiest industries as well, and I get a headache just thinking of the drive to and from work. But....its life!
Pro's: we are the only ones that have the mountains and ocean/beaches all in the same region!!! BONUS!

Northern California is beautiful, haven't spent a lot of time in southern Cal.

I like the weather! I like southern California over northern CA. I wouldnt live there though. To expensive. Not that where I am in NJ is any better! :(

i used to live in California. i thought it was awesome! and it still is. however, the houses cost a lot, and the gas prices are way too high. i have also noticed that there has been a lot of violence lately. especially around Oakland and around the bay area.

Visited in '79 from Michigan and always knew I'd move here. Finally did in '86. Love it. Ocean, mountains, forests, desert. It has everything. :)

I loved it but its wayy too crowed and dont go to china town cause it smells really bad and like everywhere u look its liek a dead fish haning around everywhere and some are even alive.. :( its pretty nasty.. but u should go there its lots of fun.. especially go to the universal studio and go on the mummy ride its OSM
