where can i get the best substrate to use in my beardies lay box preferably from the UK. and how much do I use? thanks

If it is a young one, do not use sand, as it can be easily ingested and then can become impacted.

I like to use for my reptiles, retile carpeting (essentially the same as astro turf). They wont ingest it (as long as there are no frayed ends) and it is easy to clean. Just pick up the poop with a paper towel and wash in hot soapy water weekly.

use potting soil but dont get anything with growing aids such as miracle grow you can also find good rich black dirt in your own yard just make sure it dont have alot of sand in it

huh....you are really asking about a lizard?...question kinda implied something else...lay box, little bearded dragon...you can see where i would get the 2 confused...

I am not sure what you are talking about...but I have general idea. If you are talking about your hair down under...as a guy..it is always great to have someone that is totally shaved...you know...mow the lawn.

the best to use is paper towel, they won't eat it and it is safe for the babies as well

ohh i know a great one!!! i have two leapord geckos and i use 'lizzard littler' .. you can find it at petco, petsmart, anything..it is easy to clean.. and smells better longer.. hope i helped..
