What is the difference between HP Original ink and HP Vivera ink?

I am printing pictures and what is thebig difference between these inks?

vivera has some kind of image protection chemical...either a protective top coat to reduce oxidation....well what the hell do i know. its newer...therefore better....unless we are talking about windows vista.
