how long will a 4 lb bag last for one chick?

Normally, a single chick will eat about 1/4 cup of chicken scratch/mash per feeding. When I grew up on my Grandpas farm (its been a while though) we normally fed the chickens twice a day.
One chick, should eat around 1/2 cup per day, or one cup every two days. If you use a measuring cup, count the number of cups in your four pound bag. Multiply what you find by two and that will give you an approximate numbers of days.

I'd say about 5 - 7 days.
Most feed and farm stores sell chick-starter and cracked corn in 50 lb bags.
