Increase the number of buses is a short term solution. They are looking for a long term solution, i.e. electronic timetable. But frankly, no one know whether it work or not. Personally I feel they should open up the public bus market. This will definitely benefit the commuters more in term of competition. I believe no other place in the world, where so call "private owned" public transport company yet monopolised the market.

They should use this money for more handicapped friendly buses. We are very behind compare to the rest of the world.

Don't know how they'd work in Singapore, but they tried a similar scheme in the town I live in (UK) and it didn't work so they scrapped it. Personally I agree with you 100%. If think if that question was asked in my town, then most people would agree with you.
