Looking for first computer notebook?

I am getting my first note book

Im not much of a gamer, but Ill end up downloading a few games on there, with a lot of listening to music and video editing

I dont know where to go sony, microsoft, dell, I can spend 700-1200$ because they fit in my payment per month range

I would like a pretty good sized screen fast processor, all of that, any suggestions let me know thanks!
