The player youre talking about was born in Mexico but of German parents which makes him a Mexican citizen and able to play for the team. Mascareno was the other player who became a citizen of Mexico but was born in the US, I may be mistaken but he didnt actually play for Chivas although he was drafted.

That's actually one of the things the Chivas pride themselves in. When recruiting is done, it's only done in Mexico and nowhere else. For 100 years they've done this, so no...there was never a German player on the team.

No thats not true. Chivas is the only 100% Mexican team. They have never and probably will never have a player from another team.

Never, Chivas is the only soccer team in the FMF that has always played with Mexicans. It is a rule to be Mexican in order to play for them. It is good when they win a championship to show that a team made up of Mexican can win a championship.

No, it's a mexican only team. You have to be born in Mexico to play for Las Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara not even naturalized.

No, there have never been any foreign players that have played for chivas, BUT if you were born in the U.S. from mexican parents you are still considered mexican, and there you can play for Guadalajara, for those that didn't know

No way.........puras Chivas!!! This is what makes the Chivas, well, you guessed it, Chivas! as opposed to their rivals America who pay foreign players an exaggerated amount of money.
