Only William will know the real answer...

If only one person talks bad about him while the rest talks good about him, then chances is that the person is telling lie, or the person is not in favor of William's actions.

But if many people starts talking, with story lines almost similar, then something is really wrong with William.

Afterall, when someone tell a lie, he gotta to make sure he remember this lie throughout his life. The moment he forgets a little when asked again.... he will be in deep trouble.
